Happy Friday everybody! I hope your week has been swell!
This Friday I’d like to share The Cure for Dreaming by Cat Winters!
This book is so amazing from its use of period photographs and advertisements to the characters to (the most important aspect of all) its themes. There is just so much to be enjoyed between the covers! I loved how the importance of having your voice heard was doubly emphasized in the historical background of women’s suffrage because it’s a lesson that everyone needs to learn no matter what age or what time. Sure there were times when the characters seemed over exaggerated, but I find over-exaggeration to be a useful tool in helping others to see a problem that might otherwise be overlooked. I could go on and on about why you should read this book, but I think I’ll let my review help you make your decision.
